I found your messageboard when I was looking for a recipe for homemade laundry detergent. I made my first batch today and I wished I had read the messages regarding making the soap. I'll see how this batch turns out. I also made the fabric softener with backing soda and white vinegar. I dumped in the baking soda too fast and had an volcano in my sink (thank goodness).
