Hi!
I just got a new LG HE Front Loading washer and dryer to replace the 13 year old top loading ones I got when I moved into my first home. I am very interested in making my own detergent -- first and foremost to save money and 2nd to save the environment. My washer has a pull out drawer to put the detergent in and I use VERY little HE detergent. I also have hard water.
I am wondering which detergent others have used that works best for HE Front Loading washers and how much do you use?
I would also be interested in what you use for fabric softeners. Now that the snow has FINALLY all melted here in VT I love to hang my clothes outside. I still have to wear my rubber boots out to the line though -- ha ha ha!
