I use a 1 cup of baking soda then pour a 2 cups distilled vinegar behind it. Then wait about 15 minutes then run really hot water down the drain for about 5 minutes. Hope this helps.

We have 6 people in my family, and four of them are women with looooong blonde hair. What really works in my situation?
Chopsticks! (seriously.) |

I agree...only I use needlnose pliers!! If you can get the drain cover off safely, this will help. Then, put on some gloves and use the pliers to grab gobs of whatever is down there. You might even want to wear eye protection and a mask. Stuff from a clogged drain is FUNKY

Put on eye protection, a mask and some rubber gloves. That stuff down there can be FUNKY! If you can get the drain cover off first safely, that would be ideal. Then, just grab some tongs, needle-nose pliers, whatever you can think of and start going after that gunk.
ps...don't be alarmed if a human-head-sized glob of hair comes out. It freaked me out the first time!! |
